At your first visit to our office, our staff will assist you in getting checked in using our automated check-in service. Once checked in we will
escort you to our new patient exam room where we will confirm the information we received upon making your appointment and will run through
a short series of questions that will help provide us with a good understanding of your health history. We will also ask questions to better
understand what you hope to receive from orthodontic treatment. There is no need to fill out any paper work prior to or during your appointment
as our staff will be doing this for you.
Once the necessary paperwork is completed, Dr. Favero will perform an orthodontic examination. The objective of this exam is to look at the
long-term orthodontic needs of you or your child. After the initial examination, one of three outcomes will be determined:
- Treatment is needed now (treatment recommendations and fees will be discussed).
- Treatment will be needed, but the timing is such that it should be delayed until growth, tooth eruption, or other factors
are more complete (probable future treatment, timing and fees will be discussed).
- Treatment is not needed at all.
Once the exam is complete, Dr. Favero will discuss treatment recommendations with you in detail and answer any questions you may have. Dr. Favero will also discuss the types of braces that can be used in you or your child's treatment such as metal, tooth-colored, tongue side-braces or aligners such as Invisalign®. Dr. Favero has extensive experience in each of these appliances and others.
If you or your child are a candidate for orthodontics and decide you are ready to start treatment with our office, we offer you the opportunity to take "records" immediately following your evaluation with Dr. Favero. "Records" are orthodontic X-rays, photos and dental models used to confirm the recommended treatment and finalize your treatment plan. This saves you one complete office visit, and at your next appointment we can put your braces on!
