Education and Continuing Education
I attended Washington University for dental school and received my Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics from St. Louis University in 1986. I have continued to learn about emerging methods and technologies that benefit my patients by surpassing the 25 hours per year of continuing education required by California law. My patients benefit by knowing that they are receiving the best possible orthodontic care.
After over 25 years in practice, I still find it extremely gratifying to provide a service that improves smiles, self-esteem, and confidence! I feel great knowing that my patients are receiving the best orthodontic treatment possible.
I love the opportunity to meet and work with new and interesting patients who continually enrich my life and practice. The enthusiasm of our patients brings such a positive energy to our office.
I am a member of the Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS) and have participated in the Smile For Kids Program since its inception over 10 years ago. Each year, we treat two children free of charge each year. The SDDS screens hundreds of children and then assigns our office two children who are in most need of orthodontics and cannot afford treatment. We also participate in the Signature Scholarship Program, by donating a full tuition scholarship to a major university each year.
Family Life and Hobbies
I grew up in Sacramento and have lived in the greater Sacramento area continuously other than during college and dental training. My wife, Margaret, and I have six children and 19 grandchildren. In addition to being an orthodontist I have two other loves - I am also a private pilot and farmer! I fly small planes as often as possible and grow alfalfa on our farm.
Meet Dr. Christian Favero
For dental school, I attended the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and received my degree in 2015. I received my Masters of Science in Dentistry from the University of Texas at Houston in 2017. Prior to dental school, I worked as an industrial designer for 5 years. I was eventually drawn to orthodontics because of the similarities between the two professions and because being an orthodontist allowed me an opportunity to work directly with people and impact their lives. I owe my exposure to orthodontics to my father. He ultimately inspired me to go to dental school and residency. After my orthodontic training, I joined his practice and have been loving working with our patients and using my design background to improve their lives through their smiles. My wife and I have three children that keep us busy and enrich our lives!
